My name is Joe Laudati. I am an artist and writer with a long background in film, animation, and theater.

I’ve worked on motion pictures, independent films, television shows and commercials. I built and animated puppets for children’s shows, including ‘Sesame Street’, ‘Nick Jr.’and the classic ‘Pee-Wee’s Playhouse”. I also spent over two years doing character make-up on the Tony Award winning Broadway show “I’m Not Rappaport”.

Currently, I make my living as a prototype sculptor for the toy and collectibles industry. I’ve fashioned the original templates for many action figures, statues, and armies of ‘garage’ model kits that have become quite popular on the collector’s circuit.

My home is in Manhattan, where I live alone with my many sculptures, and no pets (that I know of). I hope you enjoy perusing the galleries of my work, and feel free to contact me with questions.
